Trulicity (dulaglutide) is a once-weekly injectable GLP-1 receptor agonist FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk reduction. It's an older, well-established option.
How it compares
Trulicity is a single GLP-1 agonist like semaglutide, but it generally produces less weight loss than semaglutide or tirzepatide. It's primarily a diabetes medication; people focused on weight loss usually look to Wegovy or Zepbound.
Dose & side effects
Weekly injection up to 4.5 mg. Side effects are mostly GI; it shares the GLP-1 boxed thyroid-tumor warning and related cautions.
